History

Like many great tales, the story of the Venetian Macao begins in a rather humble manner. It begins in the eighties when a visionary American man named Sheldon G. Adelson bought the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas. He brought it down and built The Venetian Las Vegas in its place creating a windfall that made the competition envious.

Fueled by this success, Adelson set up shop in Macao and on August 28, 2007 the 39-story 3,000-suite Venetian Macao was born. The hotel did not deviate from its founder’s vision and it was loaded with everything from exquisitely furnished rooms to high-end shoppes and star-studded events.

In addition, the casino introduced MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) a feature that focuses on bringing events to the facility. In light of this, the Venetian Macao has hosted numerous trade shows and fairs in its state of the art exhibition center.

A Trendsetter

When Adelson and his team shared their dream of building a Las Vegas Boulevard-lookalike in Macao many people thought he had lost his mind. Where on earth was this development going to sit considering the size of Macao?
The answer lay in land reclamation and since this was no easy task, the construction of the Venetian Macao saw approximately 15,000 workers come together to create its mammoth structure. The casino had changed the landscape of the tiny peninsula forever.

For the Gambler

The Venetian Macao has not forgotten its VIPs and has teamed up with the rest of the Las Vegas Sands family to bring you the Sands Rewards Club Loyalty Program. The Club has three tiers: Gold, Ruby and Diamond. Membership is upon application for the Gold card while Ruby and Diamond cards require 888 and 8,888 gaming points respectively.

Once you enroll as a member of the Club you get to enjoy discounts at participating restaurants and shoppes within the integrated resort. Moreover, as a Diamond Card holder you get customized concierge services as well as free internet in your suite.

Since no casino is complete without some enticing promotions, the Venetian Macao frequently organizes competitions that can see you smiling all the way to the bank.

Still in the Game

Today, the Venetian Macao is facing the competition brought on by online gaming head-on. It has devised an elaborate reward system that doesn’t just target their gaming clients but also encourages the rest of their clientele to keep coming back.
For instance, if you love all things romance and would like to experience a piece of Venice in Macao, then the hotel has a gondolier waiting to serenade you as you float leisurely down a man-made canal. What’s more, they have a vibrant kid-zone that promises to keep your children occupied while you pamper yourself at a spa or play mini-golf.
